Lagos Re-Arraigns Broadcaster For Posting S3x Video Online

The Lagos State Government on Tuesday re-arraigned an on-air personality, Uche Igwe, aka Darksam, before Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo of the Yaba Magistrate’s Court for allegedly sharing a s3x video clip involving some school pupils.

In May 2022, the police arraigned the 40-year-old staff member of Metro FM radio station on two counts of cyberstalking and breach of peace.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Chief Magistrate Adedayo admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N10m with three sureties in like sum.

During the court sitting on Tuesday, the Lagos State Government, through its counsel, Omolola Saliu, re-arraigned the defendant on a fresh count.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge as well.

The new charge accused Igwe of distributing through his Twitter handle on April 18 the s3x video of some Chrisland pupils who were in Dubai for the World Schools Games.

The offence is said to be contrary to Section 23(2) of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency Law 2021 with a penalty of seven-year custodial sentence.

The magistrate further adjourned the matter until September 28, 2022, for trial.
