Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has visited afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti.

He says his ‘OBI-dient movement’ will base its campaign on issues rather than personality attacks.

He further said that his campaign would be based on everyday issues affecting Nigerians and Nigeria, adding that the recent controversy was not what the movement and his ambition stands for.

The former Anambra governor gave the assurance when he visited the musician.

Others present during the meeting include Charles Oputa, known better as Charly Boy, among others.

“I saw what my own brother, Femi, tweeted and I said no! that is not what the future and the society we want to build.

“We will lead a campaign based on issues that affect Nigerians and that is what I encourage everybody to do,” he said while addressing Femi in the video clip.

There had been reports that the musician allegedly described Obi’s supporters as “zombies”, a thing he has denied, but then said he is too old to be OBI-dient.
