Polytechnic Student Commits Suicide In NSCDC Cell

A student of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, has reportedly committed suicide while in the custody of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kebbi state.

Victor Musa was said to have slashed himself to death with a razor blade while in protective custody of the NSCDC.

The incident was said to have happened on Sunday.

NSCDC staff immediately rushed him to Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, where he was confirmed dead, it was learnt.

A source said the deceased was taken to the NSCDC office on Saturday night to curb him from taking drugs.
