Her death was announced in a Facebook post by events organizer CJ Carlos, who also worked at Chelsea Football Club, on Saturday evening.
He wrote: ‘Having spoken to her immediate family tonight, it’s with a heavy heart that i post this news Joyce Sims has passed away. Joyce was an amazing singer song writer who had so many hits in the 80s.
The cause of Joyce’s death has not yet been revealed.
Joyce is best known for her single Come Into My Life, which reached the top 10 in the US Billboard R&B Chart, and UK Singles Chart in 1987.
The R&B singer died at the age of 63.
