I’m Never Gonna Have Respect For You - Ronaldo To Ten Hag
Category: Sports News
Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he has no
respect for manager, Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag became Manchester United
manager last summer, taking over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who now
coaches the Australian national team.
Ronaldo, who was said to have
asked to be allowed to leave the club over the summer, was prevented from going
by the club and Ten Hag made it clear that the 37-year-old was part of his plan
for the season.

But match after match, the Portugal international
was being kept on the bench until a couple of weeks ago during the game against
Tottenham, when he defied the manager and disrespected his teammates by storming
out of the bench and leaving the stadium while the match was still on.
He
was punished with a one match-ban and later called back to the team. The
Portuguese had started and completed United’s last four matches until the
Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa.
Ten Hag had explained that
Ronaldo was ill and could not play in the 4-2 win over Aston Villa and weekend’s
2-1 win over Fulham.

Asked
if he felt Ten Hag had tried to force him out, he replied: “Yes, not only the
coach but another two or three guys that are around the club [at senior
executive level]. I felt betrayed.”
Probed on whether he feels they
are actively trying to get rid of him, he continued: “Honestly, I shouldn’t say
that, I don’t know, but I don’t care, always people should listen to the truth.
Yes, I feel betrayed.
