Ghana May Have Used Juju To Stop Us From Qualifying For World Cup – Balogun
Category: Sports News
Nigeria defender, Leon Balogun, has alleged that Ghana may have used ‘juju’ to
stop them from qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The
Super Eagles played their West African rivals in the African qualifying
playoffs.
The first leg ended goalless in Kumasi, while the
reverse fixture in Abuja finished 1-1.
Ghana clinched the ticket on
away goals rule and joined Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco and Cameroon as African
flag bearers.
Balogun has now said black magic, commonly called
‘juju’, may have been used by Ghana in the first leg that ended 0-0.
“We did go to Ghana to play the first leg and it was a tough game.
You know there was this whole fuss about them changing the stadium at the last
minute on Tuesday when they have never lost and they say whether Juju may or
may not have been involved also or whatever.
“It was tough for us.
I can’t lie…It was really tough and we ended up playing [0-0],” Balogun told
The Beautiful Game.
Africa believe.
