Gunmen Abduct Benue Commissioner, Ekpe Ogbu

Ekpe Ogbu, the Benue Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development has been
abducted.
He was abducted at the notorious Adankari Junction along
the Otukpo-Ado Road on Sunday

The Commissioner was allegedly abducted alongside Honorable Agbo Ode,
one of his in-laws and the driver at the junction which has become a black
spot for kidnapping.
Ogbu was said to be returning from a Church
programme, where Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial
district, dedicated his newly inaugurated Campaign Council to God at St.
Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo.
He was on his way back to his
village in NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church programme when
he was abducted.

His official vehicle had since been recovered from the scene and taken
to the Divisional Police office in Otukpo.
