Anyone Not Adding Value to Other People’s Life Is Worthless

Salt is use for sweetening food. Longman defines it as a natural white mineral that is added to food to make it taste better or preserve it.
Therefore if the bible refers to you a Christian as salt of the earth, it connotes that you are created to make the earth a better place or to help preserve the earth.
As salt of the earth you have the responsibility of making the earth a better place by teaching people to live worthy lives. You teach people how to do good and ignore evil. You help propagate the gospel by telling people about God.
Your duties as a child of God who is also the salt of the earth is to ensure that the earth meets the standards of God by always doing what is right; helping people adds sweetness to their life, helping the poor and the needy add life to them.
Haven’t you noticed that when you render help, the person you help is happy? When you make people happy God repays you.
The bible says that a salt that is no longer useful is thrown away and trampled upon. That is very serious. And that is the way of any Christian who is wicked to his brother, who refuses to give help to those in need of help. The bible says such persons will be trampled upon after being thrown away because he or she has become a worthless salt (Read Matthew 5:13)
The salt of the earth is someone who is ordinary but good and honest. Therefore any salt that loses its flavor becomes worthless because you cannot make it salty again!
Stop your wicked ways today; stop treating the next man like a rubbish dump because you are truly worthless in the presence of God if you are not adding value to anyone’s life.
I pray that God opens your eyes to see the danger of not being a salt that sweetens the earth. Remember any salt that loses its flavor (any Christian that refuses to add value to other people’s life) will be thrown away and trampled underfoot as worthless.
