Eating the Word of God is better than Eating Food

“During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread”

“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures says, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:3 (NLT)

Imagine yourself being in the place of Jesus after fasting for forty days and forty nights and very hungry. You would have easily fallen for the suggestions of the devil to turn stones into bread to eat!

But Jesus knew that it was wrong to make stone become bread even though he has the power to do so.

Someone could have asked what is there, is he not hungry and needed to eat something, he has the power to change the stone into bread, so why not?

But the truth is that God believes in due-process, stones have its purposes for being made not to be consumed as food.

If you know the story of where Jesus Christ every well where he fed 5000 people during one of his crusades during his ministry here on earth. What Jesus did was that he multiplied the loaf of bread available but he could have just asked that bread should fall down from heaven since he is the Son of God. But again God believes in due-process.

You must have one thing for it to be multiplied; you can’t jump the queue to the front. Also Jesus rather would feed on the word of God than ordinary food.

So we should always endeavor in all the things we do to feed on God’s word at all time that is the true solution to our problems.
