God Bless You If You are Poor and Serve Him

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the kingdom of Heaven is theirs” Matthew 5:3 (NLT)

It is annoying when you are poor and you go to the same church with very rich people who don’t even serve God as much as you do and yet they have it all, they commit almost all of the sins in Bible and yet they are the best in the house of God.

Yes, it is true, it is annoying, but your reason for serving God in the first place is because He is your Maker, your Creator who made you the way you are, that you are not crippled. That you have eyes, ears, that gives you the body you are looking for that cloth to cover with, that made the clay and sand that are used for building that house that you wish to build. That made the iron and steel that is used for making that car you think you don’t have!

I have often heard people misquote this verse to mean that poor people are blessed by God because they are poor!

No, what this means is that God blesses poor people who realizes their need for Him.

So when you are poor and you continually serve God because you know that He is all that you need, He blesses you.
Then, you become even richer than that rich fellow you are used to envying.

You know why? Because your riches are made through God’s blessing and therefore are protected from evil and your health is protected against evil. Therefore when that rich man you used to envy starts spending his millions on court cases, police troubles, tax-offenses and ill-health. You will be flourishing in your health, wealth and in God.

If you are poor and yet you are trusting in God, I pray that from this moment God Almighty will begin to pattern your path towards achieving your goals and dreams in life.
In Jesus name, amen.
