Again, Suspected Herdsmen Kill 10 in Benue Communities

Gunmen wrecking havoc in Benue State and other parts of the country have again murdered at least ten persons.
Daily Post gathered that the assailants invaded Opaha, Odogbo and Edikwu communities of Apa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday night and opened fire on unarmed residents.
An eyewitness, who spoke with DP correspondent, said the daredevil criminal elements suspected to be Fulani herdsmen invaded the community late hours of Wednesday, killing scores of persons while several others were left injured.
He said, so far, ten corpses have been recovered and buried while others are still missing following the unprovoked attack.
Benue State has the worst record of herdsmen attacks with over 2.5 million Internally Displaced Persons, IDP.
The gunmen have been on rampage across the State, killing unsuspecting citizens with over 200 deaths in one month.
Recall that the state governor, Samuel Ortom had on April 8 while calling for help from the Federal government, said over 134 people were killed in just five days.
