Many sellers wonder if a paint job helps increase the car’s value, but there are multiple factors to consider. Ideally, you want your vehicle to be in good condition with as few signs of wear and tear as possible. However, the cost of body repairs may wind up being a more significant investment than what you’d get out of them, so plan accordingly.

Ensure Everything Works

It’s always a good idea to check that everything works before putting your car on the market. It’s easy to check big things, like if the air conditioner works or making sure there aren’t any squealing sounds when you apply pressure on the brakes. However, checking small things may go a long way toward keeping that value up. Make sure that all of the taillights and turn signal bulbs work. If the buyer notices a broken bulb, they may try and haggle your price down by far more than what it would have cost you to buy a replacement bulb from an auto parts store.
