Then prostitutes covered their face and there was usually an exchange of gift for sex.
In Genesis 38, Judah slept with his daughter in-law because she disguised as a prostitute.
Is it a sin to pay for sex?
Judah paid for sex.
After Judah's two sons died because of their evil and wickedness. The wicked deeds of the first son was not really mentioned, but the second was killed for refusing to allow his brother's wife, now his wife, to be pregnant, by spilling his sperm on the floor.
This brings to the question - is withdrawal method in sex a sin- yes and no!
Yes- when the one concerned are yet to have children, no- because Onah wasn't killed the first time he did it but his intention was to continue.
Having loss both husbands, Judah's daughter-in-law who would have been without a child for the rest of her life, had to disguise as a prostitute to be able to sleep with Judah their father, to enable her get pregnant and have a child from their family.
In Genesis 38:18B, So Judah gave them to her, and she became pregnant. Afterward she went back
