Exodus 13: 17-18 “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go,
that God led them to the Philistines, although that was near; for God said,
Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to
Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of
the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of
Egypt.” (KJV)
The first point I want to make this morning is that the way to your destiny, of your success in life, the way to the desired haven that you have always prayed and cried to is not down, it is up.
Everybody must look up to God. Everybody must trust God. This is a season in which more than any time in your life- you need to trust God.
When we say “trust God”, we mean you should trust the word of God, because the word is God Himself.
The word is described in so many ways, two Wednesdays ago I was talking about the Word of God and we see that the word of God has nutritional values- the word of God is water.
He said, let him that pass come and drink of the water of life. He met the woman by the well of Samaria and told her that if you thirst and drink of the water you will never be thirsty again.
The word of God is water, and there are so many nutrients in it.
When you have the word of God you also have the light, the word of God is also the light of God which shines in the darkness and darkness can never comprehend.
Now Jesus was talking in Isaiah 60, and He was talking to the church, He said arise and shine for your light has come, He said for the glory of God has risen upon me, He said darkness (poverty, sickness, diseases, marriage failures, and all kind of things associated with darkness) shall cover the whole earth, and gross darkness (in other words, darkness nobody can solve)
No matter what happens, no matter the money pumped into the economy but they are not solving the problem.
He said gross darkness shall cover the people, but He said the glory of God shall be seen upon you. You are not made up of the same stuff as every other person, you are different.
Listen to this, it also imply that only the level of light that is in you that can determine the level of shining that you can shine; the level of the word you submit yourself to.
