Jamie Foxx Makes First Public Appearance Since Getting Out of Hospital

He made his first public appearance on Sunday after a long period of hospitalization due to health concerns.

He was seen showing the peace sign to the camera while cruising down the Chicago river.

The Oscar-winning actor was hospitalized on April 11 in Georgia during the filming of his Netflix movie Back in Action.

His daughter Corinne Foxx informed his fans about the actor’s health condition on Instagram and requested privacy.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” Corinne wrote.

Amid negative reports of his health ailment, several celebrities, friends and fans had been raising concerns about the exact situation. In May, however, Corinne announced that the actor was finally out of the hospital. The 55-year-old actor himself took to Instagram in early May to thank his fans and friends for their support following his hospitalization. “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed 🙏❤️🦊,” she wrote.

The Collateral actor was last seen in Netflix’s horror comedy film Day Shift. He has three projects lined up this year — a voice role in Strays, followed by action thriller God is a Bullet and Netflix’s science-fiction comedy mystery film They Cloned Tyrone, which is slated to stream from July 21.
