Abiodun Swears in 42 Commissioners, Advisers

Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun today, Friday, 13th of October 2023, swore in 20 commissioners and 22 special advisers into his cabinet.

The appointees were sworn in at the Obas Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, following the approval of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Abiodun, who did not announce the portfolios of each of the appointees during the swearing-in ceremony, mulled the creation of new ministries to accommodate more people in his cabinet.

Speaking shortly after the appointees took the oath of office, the governor charged them to prepare for the challenges ahead and to see their appointment as a unique privilege and a call to service.

Abiodun also charged the cabinet members to be professional and prudent, urging them to pay constant attention to their jobs.

He enjoined them to work together as a team to achieve his administration’s set goals.
