Rev Chris Okotie
Rev Chris Okotie is the Founder and General Overseer of the Household of God Church, Lagos. He is a trained lawyer and politician. Had contested for the highest position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999.
His style of preaching especially his highly structured English has met with criticisms from across the country, however this style has earned him a large audience among the Christian class.
Before he became a pastor, Okotie was a pop star in the 1980's, he was popular for his R&B songs in the then music industry in Nigeria.
Rev Chris offers a yearly award at the end of the year where he gives a lump sum N500,000 to a selected aged person. Many aged people have benefited from this award.
Some controversial talks about Okotie included his public accusation of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Senior Pastor of Christ Embassy Church and Pastor TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church of All Nations of fetish practices.
