Chairman, Lagos PDP Abducted on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Philip Aivoji, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been taken hostage.
Reports indicate that the captors are seeking a ransom of N200 million. The party official was reportedly abducted on Thursday, January 25, at the Ogere area along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway at approximately 6 pm. This incident occurred as he was returning to Lagos from the PDP South-West Zonal meeting held in Ibadan.
Additionally, it has been reported that another member of the Lagos State PDP Executive Committee, who managed to evade abduction, is presently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
