IG Presents N2B To Families of Deceased Cops

Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, Distributes N2.08 Billion in Cheques to Families of Police Officers Who Died in Active Service Over the Past Five Years

During a ceremony at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Olukayode Egbetokun distributed the cheques to 785 beneficiaries, emphasizing that the monetary compensation could never replace the invaluable lives of the fallen officers.

Egbetokun expressed gratitude, stating, "We acknowledge President Bola Tinubu's dedicated leadership and commitment to the welfare of police officers. We encourage beneficiaries to use the funds wisely. While we recognize that no monetary sum can restore the lives of the departed officers, this assistance aims to alleviate the impact of the void they've left."

CSP Lydia Ameh, the Force Insurance Officer, attributed the distribution of the cheques to the paternal care and concern of the Inspector-General.
