He mandated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to submit the defendant's travel documents to the court registrar. Following this, Ekwo instructed the registrar to inform the Nigerian Immigration Service about this arrangement. The prosecution counsel, Slyvanus Tahir, SAN, had requested the court to detain the former governor. The case was then adjourned for the continuation of the trial to March 4, 5, 6, and 7.
