Concerns Mount as 35-Year-Old Banker Goes Missing in Ogun: Wife Appeals for Help

Mrs. Temitope Openaike, an employee of a microfinance bank in Onikolobo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has reached out to the police and security agencies, seeking assistance in locating her husband, Mr. Olumide Openaike. The 35-year-old banker, who also works at a different microfinance bank in Kemta Oloko, Abeokuta, left home for work on Wednesday, January 17, and has not returned since.

A viral WhatsApp message, shared by family and friends, revealed the distressing news about Mr. Openaike's disappearance. The message, circulated by members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Strong Tower Zonal Headquarters, Ogun Province 28, expressed deep concern over the missing father of one.

Mrs. Openaike recounted the events leading to her husband's disappearance, stating that they both left their residence in Bode Olude, Abeokuta, on that fateful Wednesday. She took a taxi to Onikolobo, where she works, while he was still attempting to find transportation to his workplace at Kemta Oloko when she left.

Worry set in when, upon returning home in the evening, Mr. Openaike was nowhere to be found, and his phone was switched off. Attempts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful, both by his wife and colleagues at work, deepening the mystery surrounding his disappearance.

Mrs. Openaike has reported the incident to the police at Bode Olude and Adatan, Abeokuta, expressing the family's deep concern and urging security agencies to assist in locating her missing husband. The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident to a Punch correspondent."
