Minna residents, the capital of Niger State, are currently on the streets protesting the sudden surge in living costs gripping the nation.

In the video posted on X, young people and women are observed expressing their grievances during the protest. 

Blocking key roads in the city, the demonstrators are decrying the escalating prices of essential goods and expressing dissatisfaction with the government's inadequate measures to address the situation. Their decision to obstruct major roads is a desperate attempt to ensure that their grievances reach the ears of the government. 

The account that posted the protest on X captioned the video: "Women and youths rally against the soaring cost of living in Minna, obstructing key roads within the metropolis. The protesters emphasized the escalating prices of essential commodities and expressed dissatisfaction with the government's inadequate efforts to address the situation, compelling them to block major roads to ensure their voices are heard by the government."
