Prophet Leeroy Simabyu Shiri, who claims to lead the Springs of Living Waters Ministries in Zimbabwe, was arrested following the circulation of an audio recording in which he purportedly assaulted a female congregant.

However, the situation escalated dramatically when Violet Ndhleleni (54) was assaulted by Prophet Shiri, allegedly for spreading false information about him. Fortunately, Ndhleleni was able to capture the incident on audio, which later surfaced, sparking public outrage.
The extensively circulated audio recording reveals Prophet Shiri proudly discussing his disciplinary measures against other members of the church congregation.
In the recording, he can be heard admonishing Ndhleleni for speaking out and showing disrespect towards him. The prophet's voice is then followed by the sound of several slaps, effectively silencing the woman. Additionally, he is heard making threats of using his supernatural abilities to curse those who oppose him.
