What God Told Me Will Happen in Nigeria, Unfolding Already, Pray With All Your Strength - Adeboye Laments

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, expressed his distress yesterday, noting that numerous Nigerians are grappling with the challenges facing the country. However, he asserted that both the governors and the President remain sheltered and oblivious to the prevailing hardships in the nation. Pastor Adeboye conveyed these sentiments during the February Thanksgiving Service, which centered on the theme 'Let The Wind Blow' and took place at the Throne of Grace Parish, RCCG Headquarters in Ebute Meta, Lagos.

Adeboye, emphasizing that the wind had commenced its course, pleaded with Nigerians to earnestly pray and seek divine mercy for the nation.

Addressing the currency exchange rate, he remarked, "Recall that at the start of the year, God conveyed that situations would deteriorate before improvement. If you reflect on the value of the naira against the dollar on January 1 and compare it to today's exchange rate, you might think, 'This boy seems to have understood what he was saying.'"

In his statement, he highlighted that it is the innocent citizens who will bear the brunt when circumstances worsen.

His exact words were, "We need to pray fervently because when we say things will deteriorate before improvement, we cannot predict the extent of the decline or how much worse it could get. Wholeheartedly, beseech God and implore Him to have mercy on us, to intervene swiftly.

"No matter how the dollar exchange rate fluctuates, those in power are shielded in their positions. The Governor doesn't concern himself with the cost of fuel; he doesn't bother about the petrol level in his vehicle. When he decides to go out, he simply steps into his car, without having to wait in line at the petrol station."

"The President doesn't concern himself with the price of bread; that's not within his purview. Bread will be on his table when he desires to eat.

"It's the ordinary citizens like you and me who can attest to the fact that at the start of the year, this was the cost of rice, as we are the ones purchasing it.

"I want to emphasize that I am not a Prophet; I am a Pastor. At the onset of the year, the Lord foretold that the wind would blow, and indeed, the wind is already in motion. At this point, there's nothing we can do to halt its course."
