Nollywood Icon John Okafor, Popularly Known as Mr Ibu, Passes Away

The actor is said to have died at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State following a prolonged illness.

It's worth noting that the 62-year-old had struggled with health problems that eventually led to the amputation of both his legs.

His medical condition was identified as diseased blood vessels.

His family had appealed for financial assistance from Nigerians, explaining that the actor "experienced frequent blood clotting in his leg [due to diseased blood vessels] and other health issues that endangered his life, hence the necessity for amputation."
